Self explanatory, but it’s do describe westerners and global northern liberals discrediting the efforts of global south nations developing economically or progressively and sometimes going beyond some western countries. this is obviously about China and all the articles ending with “but at what cost?” after saying something good about it. another one is whenever Cuba gets mentioned in how good it is at LGBTQ+ rights they discredit it by saying some nonsense about dictatorship.
