Those have been my two favorite sodas for decades. Coca-Cola cherry and Dr Pepper. Both I think I had the first time at the end of the 90’s when I went back to Poland on vacation to visit relatives. Now there are also those zero sugar variants.
Nothing beats a glass of water. Plus, coke has a history of business, environmental and humane malpractices.
But it’s happiness in a can
Here in Texas, that’s a pantry staple…

Cherry Coke, particularly in a glass bottle with the Mexican cane sugar recipe (not HFCS), is the GOAT soda IMO

This post is so random but I also love Cherry coke Zero
always drank diet/zero sugar for decades. then one day I stopped being able to. any time I drink it now I get massive headaches.
That happens whenever I drink some zero sugar pops. Mainly with the mt dew varieties. But coke and Dr Pepper are my go-tos too
I don’t notice much of a difference between the sugar and zero sugar variants of Coke and Dr Pepper. But zero sugar dew tastes funny to me.
I don’t think I’ve tried Zs Dr. Pepper, I’ma keep an eye out for it.
I really liked the orange coke when they had that a few years ago. Don’t usually drink coke, I prefer Dr. Pepper, but damn was that orange one good. Like a orange Julius mixed with coke. 🤤
I feel like an old man yelling at the clouds whenever I bring this up, but I’m still salty about the switch from “Coke Zero” to “Coke Zero Sugar”.
The OG Coke Zero was noticeably less sweet and had a bit more of an acid/carbonation bite that seemed to hit the exact right buttons for me–pretty much the epitome of what an ice cold cola should taste like. Coke Zero Sugar replaced it in I think '17 or '18 (in the US at least), and while it does taste more like full sugar Coke, it’s too sweet. It’s not as bad as Diet Coke, but it’s not-good enough that I rarely buy it anymore. (Probably ultimately for the better)
Anyone else, or am I just one of those weirdos who would have actually preferred New Coke back in the day?
I want to try the ice pops.
My favourite pop in korea was a tomat popcicle called tomatoma, and I think they don’t make them anymore.
But they have great matcha ice cream like magnums.
My favourite, Club Mate is hard to get where I live now, so I have to get it mailed from a supplier in boxes. Should last me about a couple months.
Oh yeah club soda is amazing too. But same here, can’t get is so I buy it every time I’m in Germany.
I’m not a fan of cherry anything. But that Dr. Pepper, I could drink that all day. So tasty.
Kofola is my favourite, Kvass is second best.
I have done memories of black cherry vanilla coke zero from years back, best soda ever.
I was in Agadir a few days ago. And yes, I did see two cans of Cherry Coke. And one of Vanilla Coke right next to it. Hell, they even sell Prime here (yes, the KSI × Logan Paul drink), I thought it was not available outside the US and UK. Hmm… must be imports.
And no, I haven’t tried any of those drinks. I was busy trying out bubble tea.

It’s true which is why the “zero” sugar stuff is becoming popular because really the “sugar” was the syrup base.
I moved to diet/zero soda a decade ago and now drinking a regular pop tastes like liquid pixie sticks.

By definition:
a thick sweet liquid made by dissolving sugar in boiling water, often used for preserving fruit.
In cooking, syrup is a condiment that is a thick, viscous liquid consisting primarily of a solution of sugar in water, containing a large amount of dissolved sugars but showing little tendency to deposit crystals. In its concentrated form, its consistency is similar to that of molasses.
The “syrup” in pop historically refers to the liquid sugar component of it, where as in modern times it’s a bit more colloquial where with substitutes and whatnot it’s still “syrup” in industry parlance but isn’t strictly a syrup.
Aspartame, flavouring, food colouring, water, co2 - the flavoring, colouring and aspartame does not strictly constitute a “syrup” simply because it’s mixed together
