Changes to Reddit’s API—which includes new fees for third-party app developers—have been met with pushback from thousands of subreddits, many of which are undergoing blackouts that will last until Wednesday.
Oh, I’ll be coming back. Under old.reddit, with adblockers, to subs that didn’t blackout, and my comments aren’t going to be exactly… productive. May as well rack up a few bans before deleting the account.
Lets hope the mega subreddits stay dark until the changes happen. I would love to see this community grow!
So far the big ones /r/aww, /r/music, /r/videos and /r/futurology are going indefinite.
/r/apple too, which doesn’t seem insignificant
I trust you but where do you find that information if I may ask?
I may have ventured into r/modcoord, I’m sorry T_T On the brightside, a lot of subs are going indefinite it seems!!
Viewing on old.reddit, blocking ads, blocking trackers, etc, isn’t totally against the spirit of what’s going on.
:-D Don’t be, I’m glad you got the information out for everyone here without giving too much traffic to reddit. Thank you for your answer.
Reddark is extremely interesting to watch today
we are now over 8000 subs private!
Yes, spez is counting on us coming back after the 48 hours. We need communities to extend the blackout indefinitely to have any real effect.
