    It doesn’t matter how “good” the geriatric nazi is/was, how much “nuance” we take into consideration, or what “ideals” he fought for. The fuckface was a volunteer for an SS unit whose participation in war crimes is well known. He should be tried for war crimes, instead of being given safe passage and a damn standing ovation on top of that.

    Damn and he’s being serious, isn’t he? I mean, yeah the conservatives are using this moment to deflect but both the Liberals and Conservatives conspire with Nazis so it’s just a lot of finger pointing right now. Come next election nothing will change and conservative voters will think Poilievre will solve all the issues they have with Trudeau but it’s just going to be the same shit redressed. Instead of continuing the war with Russia they’ll pivot back to attacking China wholeheartedly, privatizing healthcare, and getting trans people killed. The far right is already emboldened and I don’t think anything is going to stop them from taking power. It’ll have to be after the fact for something to get done. It’s just the cycle over and over again.

      The core West is going to just go full Satan mode until they as a coherent hegemony immolate themselves or are put down. I fear us socialists won’t get much chance to affect serious change until it starts getting more dire.
