How’d you get this picture of my Grindr DMs?
I mentioned this elsewhere but this hyfetch isn’t actually fair to the crapbook. I had Firefox open as well, with Lemmy as the only open tab (so it’s totally usable, who needs to do anything other than post on Lemmy?). It was actually 1.03 Gb ram consumption on the terminal after closing Firefox.
Glados the crapbook is now running bunsenlabs and it’s sitting at 745M on the desktop according to conky.
This just unlocked one of my weirdest childhood memories. I played fastpitch softball as a kid, and at one away game the school’s softball field was next to a pasture. During warmups and the first several innings, we watched a guy dig a hole in the pasture. In the second inning or so, we hear a gunshot off in the distance, and the third has a truck dragging a horse corpse to the big hole. The man shoved the horse corpse into the grave, and takes three innings to bury the horse.
At the team huddle after the game, one of my teammates said an eulogy for the horse.
What instructions are you following? Last time I used Rufus on Windows, it had a graphical interface with reasonable default settings and zero messing around on the command line. (I mean, I sometimes did once I was booted into Linux, but I was using distros where that’s not unexpected.)
How the fuck does someone who does that poorly on the ASVAB get a full ride scholarship?
Nah, I actually really liked bunsenlabs when I tried running it live, so I’m going to install that, at least for a bit. I might try a different DE with Debian, XFCE was fine but not amazing.
It’s Bazzite on wildly impractical hardware. I had the installer on my ventoy USB and decided to try and install it on my crapbook for shits and giggles.
No, it doesn’t run well. But to be fair, I also had Firefox open on another desktop with the only open tab being Lemmy.
I once saw a webcomic many years ago with a straight couple in kink gear in front of a computer, and the guy was saying something like “You’ve been a bad girl, I’m installing Windows ME on your computer.”
I tried searching for it, but I can’t find it. :/
I’m in Minnesota, we do land acknowledgements here, and the longer initialism I often see is LGBTQIA2S+, but I’ve never seen the 2S getting the top billing. That said, I think I can speak for all (reasonable) Minnesotans when I say that we’re willing to do that when we become Canada’s newest province.
Trans people would still be a thing without socially defined gender roles. Even without gender, my sex was still wrong - my brain still told me, in times like trying to get comfortable to fall asleep, that my boobs weren’t supposed to be there.

In the early 2000s my mother’s bank got hands free headsets. She was horrified at how many of her coworkers would answer the phone in the bathroom.
I’ve seen a few YouTubers buy AliExpress 3ds consoles, and all of those have been refurbished, often with after market shells which, while often not terrible, aren’t Nintendo quality. If the console shows up, it’ll probably be fine, but you’re still not necessarily getting an amazing deal. I got my New 3ds LL (Japanese version) in excellent condition from a seller on eBay based in Japan for about $25 less and I got one with an upper IPS screen - but mine is in black. If you really want a special 3ds and you’re okay with a decent reshell, buying through AliExpress might be an alright option.
Yeah, but it doesn’t have trample, and my mob of 1/1 goblins can slow it down for quite a while.
Eh, Leibniz can be the calculus guy.
My brother was assigned that in school and we had it in the RV on a camping trip, so I picked it up and read it one evening. Both the info on citrus growing, and the violence, are things I still remember. Fucked up.
Was it assigned reading? Where did you go to school? I’ve always wondered if that book made it into reading lists anywhere outside of Florida.
I know that sometimes they are, but I don’t have much more info than that. I saw the Broadway version of Cats on PBS when I was a kid, weird show.
My professor mentioned it in the observational astronomy class I took in college. For anyone wondering, zodiacal dust is the stuff left over from the protoplanetary disc that didn’t become a planet. Any observations made along the plane of the solar system is looking through that dust and astronomers need to account for it in various ways.
