Congrats comrade. Making a difference in our student’s lives is one of the best aspects of being a teacher especially when they send that email at the end telling you how much they enjoyed your class.

I’ve taught a class I had very little experience in for the past year and the only advice I can give for your summer is to teach with empathy, which I’m sure you already do.

Her name is Speaker, which is apt because she’s loud and demanding of pets/cuddles. She’s also blind but you’d never guess since she gets around fairly well.

I work in ecology. The amount of times that weather or nature has plans counter to my own has been too great to count. Just gotta go with the flow and deal with the cards you have in a given moment. It doesn’t mean you can’t be upset about something, but at some point you realize that it’s not useful.

I met with History grad students today to help organize them/give them resources to improve conditions in their department. As I was talking to them I found out that apparently there’s a 70 year old grad student in their department who is a part of their department that was a part of the Phoenix Program and proclaims that the US won in Vietnam. I’m going to make this old fucks life hell, wish me luck!

Yeah I have no idea how these people don’t get it. Are the Palestinians expected to just accept having their calories counted and reduced, their water limited, and their electricity shut off? Like what sort of peace do you think is possible?
