It’s amazing. I highly recommend it. 5-11 Tactical occasionally offers a very light weight utility kilt at a really decent price. Utilikilts makes a much heavier one that I like too. Both are high quality materials that last forever.

Call it a kilt if it makes you feel better. As a person with seven kilts I have no problem correcting people to tell them that’s a skirt if it makes things awkward.

Dad doesn’t like losing the illusion of power. He thinks it’s perfectly fine to threaten someone but is a hypocrite the moment he met with equal force. So they tried gaslighting and getting defensive and blaming the person that they tried to threaten.

40 was enough 84 years ago when it was built. We never really had a problem unless a lot of things were on and we tried to use the oven because it would take 40 minutes to preheat.

We upgraded the panel, replaced every outlet with GFCI outlets because none of them were grounded. We added a new sub panel in the garage, removed a fire hazard sub panel that was for the water heater. We added a new line and sub panel in a shed. So it was way more than just an upgrade.

I keep meaning to talk to Peter Gallagher about why he does that but I haven’t had a chance. I have a feeling. He just thinks that it needs a cat. Though I do think the helmets add something.

I didn’t know this was a thing. I’ve never lost a single spoke. But then I buy cheap stuff that isn’t hyper engineered to the tightest specs.

I’m constantly surprised at how many people upvote my Heathcliff without Heathcliff edits. It’s the most derivative project I’ve ever done and that anyone pays attention is kinda amazing.

I’m feeling a little called out right now. I have a similarly chicken proof raised bed area. The grass grows taller than the plants and I have to get in and mow it. One day I found some 1x2 ft tiles on a curb. I have to put those down to kind of help control the grass but it’s not helping. I feel like I need to gravel the whole area because we get so much water.

I’m a handyman. New homes are trash. Contractor grade fixtures that will need to be replaced. Everything is as cheap as possible. “Let’s put the water heater in the attic so once it fails it will destroy everything under it.” Let’s use the push to shut-off water lines that will break the moment you decide you want to replace that crap faucet."

Once you live in you will want to spend upwards of 10% of the house value fixing all the crap that the builders did. Get yourself a high end inspector to go through the house with a fine tooth comb and they will find all kinds of code compliance issues that the builders will be liable for. New construction is crap. Most of them aren’t built to last the length of a mortgage.

When you buy an older home you know there are things that will need expensive repairs. I bought my house knowing that 40 amps would get us by but it was going to cost $20k to get us current. The HVAC was on its last scheduled year of life. The roof was on its last scheduled year of life. Same for the water heater. The septic passed an inspection when it shouldn’t have and I dropped $7k four months later to replace it because it collapsed. The AC hasn’t worked in 3 years. I need to patch parts of the roof. The water heater died but I was able to replace it myself for a quarter the price of someone else doing it. But this house was 90k in 2017. I knew what I was buying. With new houses you expect things to last. But they don’t. They are built to sell, not to last. And the more expensive the new house the worse the failures get. Don’t even get me started on modern McMansion roof design.

On Ben Shapiro’s show today he referenced this this as a “so called debunked video”. Because, you know, he has no integrity.

This was definitely worth the watch. But I feel like the self promotion and app advertisement at the end detracted from the whole thing.

I’m in Lesser Carolina. On Tuesday we had an election. Two state level offices. Each one had an incumbent Republican running against a different Republican. The results were basically known before the election happened. So I went in and voted for the non-incumbent just to have something to do. I was the only voter at my place the whole time I was there.

Not a protest. NAPG is doing something very different from other comics and I appreciate his work. I just noticed that most of the time the titular character is irrelevant and wanted to see what it would look like without him. So I started being the change I wanted to see.
