Do you have the ability to request new books in your library so that that way you could get things you are into? There’s also always shadow libraries.

You’re probably right - the inflation rates were low for a long time so to get that high from indexation on a 100k loan would be pretty unlikely.
Probably medical degrees etc. However, if I were to do a masters in CS it would be 70k so my total debt would be up to something like 110k. Thus, if I do a masters it will be a cheap US-based one I can cashflow because that’s just a stupid amount of debt.
Yeah I assume the reason there isn’t is because the general ones are US-centric by default and then everyone else has to have somewhere specific to go. But I guess if they want their own dedicated place too why not?
Just read reviews?
I don’t think it makes sense to vote for something you don’t believe in just because others you disagree with will make the same vote.
NTA she’s probably just insecure about having eaten the chocolate faster than she thought.
Classic useless answer but nothing ATM 🙃. I’ve been travelling for a few months and won’t be able to host anything til I get home mid July. However, I do have plans to host a website or two, maybe even a Bookwyrm, Lemmy or Mastodon instance.
I agree that would be a great feature. Dunno if it’s exclusive to my instance but Discovery also doesn’t have an option for global notifications (it’s just the local one) which is a bit limiting since my instance isn’t that big.
Just followed you! I see you’re a fellow Sci-Fi fan!
I don’t think it’s fair to say OP has ‘obviously’ been distracted by it but I otherwise agree.
What servers do you want defederating from?
I don’t think veganism really works to whitewash the crimes of either the Israeli or Saudi Arabian government. Even for vegans, those crimes are probably some of the first things they think of when we hear of those countries. It is good that Tel Aviv has a decent vegan scene, and it is good that Al Waleed is having some vegan influence. However, I don’t think veganism is considered so good to most people that it really does anything to mask those issues (and it certainly doesn’t make up for them.) For what it’s worth (not much) I do agree that the praise of Al Waleed is worse since Tel Aviv is made up of many more parts than the Saudi Arabian royalty and I don’t think the average Israeli resident has as much power as Al Waleed.
I’m guessing most of the Beehaws at least have duplicates since they cut themselves off.
