Zwar ist die UX derzeit durch das Patch-Chaos etwas beeinträchtigt, jedoch tut das weder der grundsätzlichen Idee hinter dem Fediverse noch meiner damaligen Motivation Reddit zu verlassen einen Abbruch — natürlich ist hier noch nicht so viel Interaktion und Content wie bei den kommerziellen Konkurrenten vorhanden, doch dafür fühlt es sich heimelig und ein bisschen nach “der guten alten Zeit” des frühen Internets an.

Ich schwanke inzwischen täglich zwischen Sprachlosigkeit und tiefen Zynismus darüber, dass wir und der sog. “Westen” anscheinend werde Willens noch in der Lage sind, unsere in Sonntagreden ach so häufig beschworene Werteordnung und die europäische Sicherheitsarchitektur tatsächlich auch einmal zu verteidigen, wenn sie durch einen faschistisch-imperialen Diktator zur Probe gestellt wird. Haben wir jegliche Lektionen des 2. WK völlig vergessen? … Gemessen an den Kosten des zukünftigen Sicherheitsdilemas in Folge eines russischen Sieges sind die Ukrainehilfen finanziell ein Tropfen auf dem heißen Stein, ganz zu schweigen von den humanitären Folgen eines solchen Ausgangs…

Wenn wir wollten hätten die Ukraine durch Hochskalierung unserer Rüstungswirtschaft die russischen Streitkräfte inzwischen bis hinter den Ural ficken können, aber nein - Zögern und Zaudern bestimmt auch im 2. Jahr des Krieges weiterhin den Innerdeutschen Diskurs… Ich hab so genug… Vielleicht verdienen wir es einfach nicht souverän und in Freiheit zu leben, wenn uns schon Geld - nicht einmal deutsche Menschenleben - uns das Opfer dieser Freiheit nicht wert sind!

Please don’t get me wrong, the scale up of renewable energy sources is certainly not going fast enough in Germany (thanks to our conservative government that ruled the country for 16 years until 2021!), but please argue this position using the real data for 2023 (57.7% renewables in the German electricity mix)!
