Banger anime. Easily one of the best this season
I binged this one and I must say I wish I’d started watching this from the beginning. It’s so nice and comfy. I hope for a new season
Bit of an odd statement. It’s not as if all Proton users are hardcore privacy fanatics who use custom ROMs on their phone
Yea the ending doesn’t feel like a season ending. It’s a cliffhanger for the end of an episode, not a season. No arcs were closed or whatever.
Yoko Taro is such a troll. First acting as if A2 didn’t come back, only to then show the obscure Accord (assumedly) with A2.
This season has been amazing. I absolutely loved it. It’s hard to speak of it on its own, since I love the game, but I think I view it as an additional route of the game. It adds and changes details here and there in a meaningful way, similar to the different routes in the NieR games (particularly Replicant). I loved seeing the slight differences and some not so slight. I also think this is the most straightforward version of the story we’ve gotten.
Compared to season 1 it’s a massive improvement too. Better story execution, better animation, better action.
Yeah I know, but all we saw was Makoto’s mother calling her father disgusting and that seems to be the root cause of why she thinks that way. We didn’t see her get bullied or whatever.
The chibi “animation” be looking extra cheap this episode.
Good end to the season, but clearly leaves things open for, I assume, the final movie. Not sure I believe Makoto’s mother having some sort of trauma reaction to her son because her father wore femine clothes.
They don’t quite provide the same service as privacy.com though, do they? I have wise instead of revolut, but I was under the impression that privacy.com had more rigorous privacy protections
I’ve bought some of Hololive’s stuff on qobuz.com, where I buy most of my digital music. You just need to search for the Japanese name. Seems like they have stuff from Miko, but not her newest album. They’ll probably have it a little later though.
A European alternative would be great, since privacy.com only seems to do dollars
So, the 1st season of the remake covers books 1-4. Both seasons of the original covers 1-3 and 5. So, no, skipping the 1st season is not recommended imo. That also means the 2nd season of the remake starts with the final arc of the original. However, the remake is really close to the original. Here and there it’s a little more faithful to the books and Holo is a little more playful. So, if you watch the final arc of the 1st season, I think you should be fine, but then the 1st arc of the next season is a repeat again. I’d still recommend watching the remake in full, just to get used to the new artstyle and music.
If you’ve watched neither, then I guess the safer bet is to just watch the new one. I personally prefer the original though (for personal reasons like preferring the music and style).
This season will mark the moment they’re going beyond the original anime after the 1st arc. Very excited.
Dungeon People
I see a decent amount of funny out of context screenshots about it. May check it out.
Edit: RIP, only on HIDIVE, so no legal service for me.
I watched a fair amount of shows this season. Despite not really having big names, it was a pretty solid season.

I think that was everything
This was a good final episode. A bit of a shame that the 3D models are not much like actual vtuber 3D models, but oh well. That homage to vtubers at the end was not fair and made me tear up. Vtubers were an important part of my life after uni graduation and struggling to figure out what to do with my life, all while COVID was raging about.
This anime was fun. It wasn’t the best, but it captured the vtubing vibe really well. It felt like it was made by people that love vtubers.
Continuing from last season:
Still need to watch from last season:

This was fine to pass time with. The Russian thing wasn’t more than a gimmick. Got old pretty quick actually.
Surely this’ll result in better pay for animators right? There’s no way the production committees are keeping it for themselves right?
