What you’re describing is just giving/loaning/borrowing which don’t start with R but still contribute to a moneyless value economy which is still great for improving the efficient sharing of the resource pool toward desirable ends
time is a circle
Missourian education right dare I tell you what
I just started with Russian on Duolingo last week. And here I thought spelling was difficult in my first language (English)
when you and a friend both wear the same type of long sleeve shirt that day so you high five, but it doesn’t make a noise because you both completely flattened your hands before making contact

it was a heavy number of years ago
Mini-whales, with micro-plastic infused baleen and a high calcium diet to help alleviate the effects of the acidic and irradiated seawater
I had only heard of it once prior, in an piece which was discussing how the profit motive has lead companies to begin prioritizing offering cheaper, but lower-quality/less-reliable products or services.
I cannot recall what example they gave, but I think it had to do with complaining about tech companies (like Apple or Google maybe) for the typical ‘creating the problem to sell you the solution’ type of release schedule (staggering) for the eventual implementation of new design improvements into their hardware/software. Presumably, the sales team thinks that method can help them sell more over time (or at the very least, have something to mention in the continuous marketing cycle without having to create a SALE in order to attract new customers)
Of course they put the air quotes… wet noodle “journalists”
Then we will just have to wait for the meat and dairy companies to start lobbying for preemptive exclusions of the free speech rights of animals 😂😔
Is there any benefit/missed opportunity to having my account hosted on the non-political “liminal.space” if I am mostly going to be using it to follow and contribute to instances such as lemmygrad or hexbear? I have very little understanding of data privacy or content moderation or “data federation” (a brief search engine peruse didn’t explain a whole lot), and have just been getting into learning about anti-capitalism/socialism-communism throughout history from introductory channels on the boobtube. My instinct was to not host my account on lemmygrad, fearing that I would be put on a list somewhere by my dystopian surveillance state of a government. (I am leaving Reddit this week after having my milquetoast remarks regarding imperialism and military provocation get removed from a semi-political post (on a non-politics sub) related to the aftermath caused by the fascist candidate who has been playing a game of [nationalist] chicken with one of the 2 political parties in the country since losing his campaign for reelection)
Yeah I had thought that it was (probably, in some ways or places) easier than it had ever been before with the internet and rampant unchecked capitalism. but history has many vicious twists and dark moments not recounted through time and people have almost certainly been much cheaper or sold in far greater numbers into slavery in prior centuries. so maybe we are continuing to soften up as a world shaping apex species and gradually becoming more considerate towards one another as our concept of a “tribe” or “in-group” continues to widen.
