Wabbitemu was a godsend back in my HS and college days! I used to have it on my MacBook and my android phone, so I always had a TI-84 ready to go. It’s a a shame it wasn’t available for iOS since I’d get many folks who would me ask about it but I had to tell them they couldn’t really use it because they had an iPhone. Who knows, maybe there does exist a TI emulator for iOS these days!

Regarding downloading from other people’s libraries, I believe they need to allow you to do so. I have a library that was shared with me, but I can’t download anything from them, although I can save it “offline” via the Plex app. The unfortunate thing is that the offline function doesn’t not work very well at all, it works about 20% of the time for me on iOS and Android.
Can you just read local epub files using the books app?

Currently using Memmy on iOS for lemmy, but I have about a dozen other apps installed since I’ve been trying all of them

Yea, but then all your i’s would be t’s and your t’s would be i’s. Unless that’s what you want?
Same, right after Windows 10 nuked my network drivers via any automated update that happened while I wasn’t home
