1 year agoThis is a good read, but be aware that a lot of the exploits don’t work on modern GNU/Linux systems. Download the CD that goes with the book, which has a custom distro for testing the exploits.

SDF was my first Unix experience. I logged in using telnet from my Win98 computer back in the early 2000s.
