    not directing this at you, more just saying since it was brought up: that movie is classist as fuck. it blames all the world’s problems on supposedly dumb poor people having a bunch of kids. it doesn’t do anything to examine the social or economic conditions that cause that, and it acts like all these upper middle class people could have saved us all if we weren’t all so dumb and poor. i like mike judge’s work (im a huge KOTF fan) but i’ve always took issue with the framing of that movie. we got to idiocracy because a bunch of white upper middle class people are racist fucking idiots. not because of poor people.

    imo it would tbh. when kamala was asked if she would do anything to protect trans people she said “we should follow the law”. this was “the law” in question. having trump in office only makes it easier, they were always going to do this. kamala would have done nothing to stop it so what difference is it between trump pushing it through and kamala letting it pass? a few extra months of uncertainty?

    i’m not trying to fedpost and i need to take this advice myself but america is at a point where we need to start rioting. and honestly as dumb as blompf supporters are once they start seeing that the price of shit isn’t going down (especially if he actually does these tariffs) i have a feeling a lot of them are gonna have a moment of awakening and think “oh shit i was really taken for a ride wasnt i?” lots of people who are comfortable and middle class now, under trump, assuming he actually treats the economy the way it seems like his administration will, will be broke as the rest of us trying to keep their head above water in a year and a half tops (again assuming trump actually does what he says he will as far as tarriffs go, tax cuts for the rich go, gutting federal funding to schools and basically everything else we all rely on)
