I think my landlord sees us as people, he’s just fundamentally incapable of understanding what it means to live in a lower income bracket. He’s selling the house we live in and seemed genuinely confused why we, as a single earner household paying significantly below market rent, would be worried because “there’s only a few situations where they can kick you out”. Yes and if they invoke one, which they will because we’re a bad investment, we’re SCREWED.
Meanwhile he thinks he’s being generous by listing for below appraisal when it’s still at least double what he paid a couple years ago. Just living on a totally different planet.
I proposed publicly to my wife but a) I knew she wanted to get married, b) I am super reserved usually so doing it publicly was more meaningful because it was more difficult, and I think most crucially c) I didn’t film it for the socials. There’s definitely a genre of public proposal that’s super cringey but it’s not really fair to paint them all with the same brush.
The Connect app allows you to filter out an instance, but it also hides comments from any users logged in to that instance. Which cam be a bit distracting, though all you have to do is press a button to reveal them.
My 9-month-old is just starting to get into assisted walking, and I always compare his attempts to QWOP. Only a couple people have gotten the reference and it makes me very sad.
This was the joke in my household as a kid, never not funny.
I grabbed the Batman pack off the Steam sale - Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight. I had played Asylum on PS3 way back when but got stuck on one of the late game fights and never went back to it. Very fun, I’m a pretty casual gamer and it’s good at making me feel capable even when I’m just doing average. Almost done Asylum and looking forward to getting into the other two.
I made it to the clinic roughly on time despite a sick wife and baby, and there’s only one person at reception who’s taking five years to solve one client’s issue.
Actually there’s two but they’re both working on the same problem. And I’m not even the first person in line.
