I’m going with serious societal issue.
Jill Stein releases a statement: “To be clear, I only want Kamala votes please! Only former Kamala voters!”
Could be. If I had the time and could stomach the material, I’d love to be making hand over fist cash from these dumbasses selling them Trump merch.
I had you blocked for some reason - just saw there was a comment here that I couldn’t expand and eventually figured it out.
Not sure why I had you blocked, but I’ve got my eye on you. ;)
Great point, thanks for pointing that out.
FWIW I think that’s not actually official trump/vance website, I think someone else snatched up the domain.
In their yard signs section is “Veterans Against Trump” - but they sure do have a lot of Trump/McDonald’s stuff for sale.

Almost all the Trump ones are - it’s more difficult than it should be to push satire beyond things that Trump and his lackeys have actually done.
I knew before I clicked this that it wouldn’t be stolen Trump signs.
Mussolini: “Do you want fries with that?”
Legit visiting a McD’s and working with actual customers for awhile? Sure. An entirely staged photo op where nothing of the sort is done? Nah.
Having said that, I don’t view McD’s any more negatively than I already did for this. It is reasonable IMO for any presidential candidate to put in a stop to wherever. I am pretty doubtful that this particular franchise owner isn’t a Trump supporter, but I bet most of them are.
This doesn’t hurt anyone but Trump does it? I’m trying to figure out the election fraud angle - it’s really just defrauding Trump and his campaign for payment of services not rendered, correct? Not that it’s OK if so (I mean, it’s funny, but they should still be prosecuted), but how does this fraudulently influence the election (if at all)?
Those are good points!
I’d love nothing more than to be wrong, so if there are studies saying I am then that’s great. I’m curious what it does to their likelihood to vote at all vs who they vote for.
It feels like what it should drive is complacency to me (along with energizing the R voters) but I’m super happy for my feeling to be wrong.
No one is listening I’m sorry to say. I corrected a couple people but then realized it was pointless. The discussions in the crossposted communities (which - holy shit I don’t think I’ve seen something so thoroughly spammed across multiple tech communities before) are just as bad or worse.
They have confirmed it was a packaging bug and will be resolved.
It’s just a packaging bug and they said they will fix it.
I can’t see how hearing “D is up 2x over R” doesn’t help R more than D at this stage in the race.
Not everything needs to be negative.
And yet, some things are.
I actually wish they wouldn’t publish early results like this. Because you know there are people who will now go “well, I guess I don’t actually need to vote afterall” or “I guess my Jill Stein vote is actually harmless afterall” etc.
This sort of thing (IMO) potentially gets less Harris votes down the line.
I agree with everything you’ve said except that the folks here upset at seeing third party votes help Trump win are NOT the same people refusing to fix the FPTP problem.
I feel seen.
