I don’t think it’s an easy thing, not to mention that it would be better for both if both had the same diet and lifestyle choices (obviously being vegan). For me, being vegan is not just that, but also the only morally right thing to do. So, if my partner wouldn’t at least be vegetarian, this would be so hard, and I’d, at some point, just break up if I notice they don’t understand what all of this is about.

I as a vegaterian who rarely eats non-vegan stuff never try to convert others. I only correct them if they say wrong stuff but also try not to influence them. I think that every human who just watched one animals feel pain in any way should have gotten that being vegan is a no-brainer.

Do non-vegans really refuse to date vegans?

It’s intesting to me to put this that way. Usually I think of things from my own perspective, not from others. I couldn’t be with someone who isn’t vegetarian.

They do that for easier discovery of existing contacts. Say someone switches from WA to Signal and they want to contact someone. How’d they know their username? Their contact list would be empty and they would uninstall it. Signal would only be for nerds.

I don’t see that as a problem. They basically only save the phone number, creation date and date of the last connection to the server.

There’s always a reason given when comments are deleted. Afaik it doesn’t even need to be your comment but could be the comment you replied to but I’m a newbie

I get that! I’ve never reported comments on here because I love open discussions as long as it’s on-topic and based on facts I don’t see a reason to report stuff. And seeing a mod in my thread means they already read it so no need to report :)

I’d be willing to do it but need to look into how lemmy moderation works. I guess there must be some kind of admin panel to view reported comments? I’ve been in the support team from vtlog.net so I know how to handle angry people complaining about sth not working but this would be a new challenge! I’m free this week, but I’m of course working so moderating couldn’t happen all day but only in the afternoons and on the weekends.
