Yeah! He’s not a main character in it, iirc, but you get an idea of why the valar favor him. He’s got a bit in the ROTK appendices where he has a battle with the witch king too.

I quite enjoyed the Silmarillion when I read it, but I’m not sure I’ll have the stick-to-it-ive-ness to reread it anytime soon. I like the story of Beren and Luthien, and Glorifindel’s fight with the balrog. Lots of really cool stories in there.

The Rings of Power is based on the lore in the appendices of Return of The King - broadly the same story, but their interpretation is almost like an alt history compared to this. I enjoyed the first season ok (if I disagreed with some of the writing), but I haven’t felt compelled to look into the second season yet.
