For anyone interested in supporting those going up against the meat lobby, look into the Agriculture Fairness Aliance
Turn that into action! Volunteering is great to do as well
In fairness sometimes small tiny differences like that do turn out to be significant. But measurement error usually wins out most of the time
Help make sure the majority against it shows up at the polls
I’m not so sure it necessarily does that. I think sometimes people dooming about polls makes them think “what’s the point” and demotivates action
Certainly complacency is bad too though of course
And I still see people dooming about Rasmussen polls despite the fact that they’ve been booted from most polling agragates a while ago because of their terrible methodology and terrible transparency
FYI, you can still volunteer and donate to campaigns and such from other states. Republicans sure as hell do
There is quite a bit of time between election and inauguration. Election is early November, inauguration is in early January
Even if dems win the senate it doesn’t mean they’ll necessarily replace 100% of everyone either. Just opens the options to replace some people. I’m sure the cabinet members would be informed of how likely they are to keep their job
Note that a good chunk of the poll, people selected neutral which may very well still be a “I don’t know much about this”. Familiar can also mean “I have heard the name before”
This is if dems lose the senate control. New cabinet members have to be approved by the senate
So by keeping old cabinet members, you avoid having to go through the senate again and being blocked by republicans
For anyone who has a bit of time, I highly encourage volunteering for the campaign. Many of the methods of volunteering are about educating voters

The new poll does not distinguish between unsure of how one feels and never heard of project 2025. (I did dig into the poll document itself too)
The poll looking at number familiar with project 2025 was months ago from a different poll
Given the stark polling, I’d imagine most of the unsure people likely just haven’t heard of Project 2025 / don’t know what’s in it
I think that’s misunderstanding the goals of those who advocate for it. Animal rights is the movement. Veganism is advocated as a means to achieve that end by stopping the support of the harm within animal agriculture & factory farming
Note: the original article was about people doing sticky notes. It’s pretty easy to clean those up without issue
Do most/many social movements not do the all three at the same time? For instance, demanding that voting rights acts should be passed while simultaneously trying to nudge people and politicians to support it
Not OP, but setting aside animal rights for a moment, the rational given here is effectively an argument against all social movements
Saying that one should not ever push or nuge someone towards what you think is right regardless of how well argued or how much of a point that you have
Not OP, but that’s not exactly accurate. The article itself is much less dramatic than the headline. The article acknowledges how trump’s policies would absolutely be worse
Mainly talks about implicit support of factory farming in campaign stops and the like. But also notes that it’s not limited to Walz and far worse on the Republican side
Kind of wish they just ran with a different headline on this
Let’s make sure it matters
