  • I’ve seen this guy around before. It seems like he really wants to connect with communists in the USA who take a pro-Russian stance on the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. That’s a very short list, and he’s not picky about who he associates with as long as they profess communism and condemn the Ukrainian regime. I wouldn’t expect his “Marxist-Leninist” analysis of anything to carry much weight, as he is not to my knowledge a member of a communist party. He is however frequently on the ground in the Donbas and speaks native English, so I find him worth listening to on that subject.

Doing a stream about Alexander Dugin is what I would call a bad move. To be honest, I don’t know much about that guy and I don’t really care to spend time researching him. That long block quote you provided seems to be looking at the issue of trans rights in the communist movement exactly backwards. Of course any communist organization should be firm in its support of trans rights. Communists should welcome trans comrades and include them and their issues in the communist project. We all know that the class struggle is the primary struggle, and it is for this reason that it is unserious and petty to place anti-trans bigotry ahead of class solidarity.

I’ve seen this kind of thinking before. Paul Cockshott comes to mind. People get this idea in their head that there is a huge trans rights or queer rights lobby that is sucking all the energy out of the communist movement. Or maybe they think that infiltrators are trying to use these social issues as a wedge to split organizations. I don’t see anything like that happening in real life. The Communist ideology is under constant attack, but not from those quarters.
