    Given that the majority of Israeli Jews are of middle-eastern, rather than European, descent, they’ll need some sort of home in the middle east, and a non-expansionist Israel with good relations with its neighbours would be the least implausible solution.

      Israel makes no such distinction. It offers citizenship based purely on religious affiliation. Is Benjamin Mileikowsky counted as Middle-Eastern because daddy went to university in the Middle East?
