I bet 97% of the people who subscribed to gonewild communities were too young to remember these commercials
I bet you’re right!
When I lived in Washington there was a public access show that aired once a week at 1 or 2 AM called Mike Hunt for President. It was literally hardcore porn and homemade commercials for Marijuana. There was one particular tag line that stuck with me for years. “Marijuana, it’s not crack.”

This was over 20 years and aired on public access cable. I only watched a few episodes but I think it was all or mostly 70s porn. I was in college and had access to the internet so it was just kind of a novelty to me.
I don’t know if SCAN considered obtaining V-chip encoding, which would’ve cost close to $2k that year for encoding equipment; perhaps their license forbade such encoding.
I looked up the Facebook page and apparently they’ve put the episodes up on pornhub
Comedy Central after midnight was a wild ride in Jr high.

for me it was this weird guy on public access in New England who made this weird diagram that reminded us of D&D. He smoked a pipe and we called him Dr. Bob, but I have no idea who he really was.
So he turned you on sexually? Because that’s what you seem to be implying.
No judgment. Just curious.
I’m sure Dr Bob was sexy af though
Between the salt and pepper hair, petite yet sharp cleft jawline, tailored midnight grey suit that clung to his shoulders, and the gentle affectionate smile he wore every time the pipe crested his lips, yeah, he awakened some feelings. Don’t even get me started on his hands because I don’t know what they look like, I made this up for attention on the internet.
Fake Dr Bob has my attention 🥵🥵🦢
Ignore the swan emoji. It was a typo. I’ll keep it
I suppose that in context that’s what my comment would imply, but it’s not really what I meant.
Born too late to know. What is this referring to?
Girls Gone Wild if I had to guess.
Elder millennial here to confirm, this is about GGW
I remember these commercials but I’m too young to remember 9/11. Maybe the topless girl riding a bike off a ramp and backflipping into a lake was just that memorable.
