In elections, the economy is the base of the pyramid. Other things like trans rights or genocide of other people in another country are at the top of the triangle. Something you can sway voters with only if they feel the rest of the pyramid is stable for then. It would be nice if people as a whole could take a longer view of things, but we’re just advanced animals in the end

Imagine how stupid you would have to be to be that disconnected from reality that you literally forgot everything Donald Trainwreck did in office.
