2025 is the year of the snake, so I was pondering symbolism about snakes. My train of thought went from Eve to Medusa. I really did not enjoy mythology when I was in school, but I think a large part of that was the “required reading” part of it. Today, I am curious about the historical mythology stories as well as more modern retellings, and perhaps those that switch typical perspectives.
So, I’m looking for book recommendations featuring Medusa. Anything good?
Stone Blind by Natalie Haynes
Basically the story of Perseus but with a modern perspective and Medusa as the main protagonist.
Awesome! Got it on hold at the library!
