2025 is the year of the snake, so I was pondering symbolism about snakes. My train of thought went from Eve to Medusa. I really did not enjoy mythology when I was in school, but I think a large part of that was the “required reading” part of it. Today, I am curious about the historical mythology stories as well as more modern retellings, and perhaps those that switch typical perspectives.
So, I’m looking for book recommendations featuring Medusa. Anything good?
Mythos by Stephen Fry might be good. It’s not strictly Medusa, but she is in it.

The audio book is amazing as well, cause you get to hear how those old Greek names should be pronounced, lol
Oh my gosh, that’s a really good point about the audio book. I bet that’ll help me a lot. I start losing plot when I can’t remember the names.
