    My dog does this. He runs at me, doesn’t stop in time, and faceplants into my face. He starts the sneezes dogs do when they hurt their snout, I’m rubbing my.face like “Bro, wtf?!”

    He hasn’t quite figured out stopping distance yet and will just slam into me as a braking strategy.

    As they say, if cats didn’t want to be kissed on the top of the head, why do they have flat heads?

    Oh, I trained my cat exactly the same way. But, to my cat’s defense, I also trained him to “kiss” me when I say “kiss”. So sweet, but sometimes also so over-affectionate for a couple of cat sweets.

      Try to discourage that. It’s cute at 7 months, but painful and annoying at 18 months. Source: my 18 month who thinks he’s the juggernaut

        I also have 2 at 2.5 years that don’t. I guess I’ll be fine. I also raised one to about 5 which now lives at a friend’s house.
