On the pro side, it’s 20th century epic but it’s still epic (instead of the 18th century lookalike from the others), and would keep working on seasons 3 and 4.
On the bad side, it’s way too long. Could work on a theater, but not on TV.
The DS9 got a really nice joke about it in LD, so I guess most people do think it’s too long. But the Voyager one is less repetitive, so it feels shorter.
I mean Enterprise did it. I’ve got faith.
I still defend that song. Absolutely loved it and fuck did it fit the spirit of the show. And God I loved it vs the montage of us pushing forward.
The first version of the song anyway. When they made it softer in season 3 it got bad for me.
The montage works just as well with Archer’s Theme, which was the original idea and what it should have been.
