Tbh the 5mg gummies I get in LA are much stronger than the 10mg I would buy in Arizona. I suspect the cannabis companies aren’t that accurate and the lab testing is rushed lol
I can’t smoke, but 30mg/day is a baseline for me. If I want to get blasted by a campfire in the woods I like 50-80mg. I remember when 5mg was noticeable but it isn’t anymore. Also I usually buy cheap Choice edibles. Can’t wait for our local legal market to get off the ground so I can shop for nicer treats without having to look for resources coming from outside the area (we’re legal now but no legal market yet).
Quick edit to say I also bought a 1000mg bag in Missouri that was 10 100mg edibles and I cut them up but that was fire. For a long time I couldn’t find anything over 10mg each.
I’m in a similar boat, my tolerance is high enough that a 5mg edible doesn’t do much. The legal market here sucks so I have been using mostly concentrate these days which I kind of hate.
Flower is like $50 for 3.5g here and I can get a stick of concentrate for $90 so that seemed easier.
I can’t even find black market down here (though I don’t really know how).
But back in Texas I could get an Oz for $220 and make all the edibles I could want

Making your own edibles is incredibly easy but the decarb step can really stink up a house/apartment/back alley dumpster.

Idk what part of the US you are in but my advice is always the same. Find good people and you’ll find weed somewhere.
Coworkers/neighbors/etc become friends and before you know it somebody is asking if the other smokes and you’ve got a hookup.
