The first episode was with UK-based Danish comedian Sandi Toksvig. Other noteworthy guests include Tanya Plibersek, Hillary Clinton, and Theresa May.
Theresa May, a mediocre British Tory politician who pivoted from a short-lived prime ministership to spouting reheated far-right conspiracy theories about the “woke left”? If you’re going to include her as a prominent woman, you probably should also include Elizabeth Holmes and whatever the Helen Demidenko lady calls herself now.
Her premiership was a similar length to Gillard’s and she was only the second woman to occupy that position at the time of the interview. So yes, I would say she is objectively prominent, at least enough for an interview on this podcast. You seem to have confused your personal feelings for a relevant argument as to why certain women shouldn’t feature. It is actually possible for someone you dislike to be a prominent figure (sorry, I know this is a shocking revelation in 2024’s hyper-polarised society).
A negative impact is still an impact. Worth exploring I think.
