We had an issue over the past 24 hours or so that stopped incoming federated comments from making it to the database (you may have noticed highly-upvoted posts with 0 comments). This has now been resolved and comments are being received again.

This issue should not have impacted outgoing comments reaching other instances.

    I did have problems posting comments in the same period — the loading spinner would just go on without end nor results — but I can’t provide receipts or logs to say that it was definitely connected to this issue.

      Thanks for letting me know. The issue may have had more impact than I first thought. 🫤 At this stage we’re not certain what caused it as there has been no config changes recently, but we’ll keep a closer eye on the server for the next few days.

        I also had this issue, and I created a new account on another instance to troubleshoot. So glad to see comments working again.

        P.S. I love leminal.space! Thank you for running this instance, and if there’s anywhere I can donate to you guys for maintaining it, I’d be glad to do so!
