I feel like you’re attempting a sleight of hand here to, in getting us to defend the user with NPD, to paint us as defending paedophiles.

I do not nearly know enough to discuss NPD, but I also think you’re being dishonest by grouping those two disorders together.

I’m want to call you out on this now, because I want other commenters here, who know more of the context of your disagreement and have better knowledge about these topics, to be aware.

This is similar to how people call sexuality a “drive” when it’s just an incentive reward system in the brain, not a survival thing.

You’re so fucking pathetic trying this debate bro shit here. You have no fucking clue how many smug dipshits like you we brush off regularly. Just pack it up bud, go outside. I think you need some fresh air.

Have you checked your apartment for black mold? I know that can really fuck your brain up.

I don’t browse that comm, nor do I have YouTube (except for music) or TikTok, and I disavowed any expertise on the subject.

However, I think that the construction of your -argument- before is trying to draw users into defending a group category that you have drawn, which includes paedophilia, then if anyone were to defend that group that you drew, or another item within it, you would then call them out as defending paedophilia. I am not discussing definitions or diagnoses.

It appears to be similar to a dishonest debating tactic and I want to call you out on it in advance.

This is not a dishonest debating tactic and you are defending the idea that people with inhibition problems that threaten others need accomodations in the form of never being called out

Imagine we stopped using “mad” because some people have anger issues.

Imagine we stopped using “nonce” because, some people are pediphiles.

Imagine we stopped using “narcissist” because some people are narcissists.

Doesn’t make any sense. They’re pejorative for a reason. These are abusive tendencies towards others.

I’m going to leave it there cos I’m sleepy. The one concession I’ll grant you is that you may have become a little confused since a number of us are using the same profile picture.

I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that at some point in this thread you may have gotten me mixed up with another user. Please re-read the thread again and pay attention to the usernames if that is the case.

And there it is. I said nothing of the sort. Read my comments again. I never discussed any pathology at all.

Literally right after I call you out for saying you would try to paint one of us as defending a group category [people with inhibition problems] you go ahead and do just that.

How does not calling out negative behaviors help people who are themselves trying to limit them

I think the issue here is that Magicker is medicalizing bad behavior. They’re not saying someone behaved badly, they’re saying someone has a medical condition that makes them inherently evil and untrustworthy. You can say someone is being selfish, or lying, or being unreasonable, or whatever, without diagnosing them.

I hope you understand why I’m treating you with mistrust. Saying that these posts are being shared with chans means that the audience is much wider than just us here, and I don’t assume that things are being written or read charitably.
