Watched the first episode.
I’m not tripping, it’s actually really good, right? Like some demented fusion of Pirates of the Caribbean and tokusatsu live-action (like Karmen Rider or something). The cast and the sets make everything really charming and fun, and Inoki’s take on Luffy is really carrying the show. That said, I haven’t watched the original to compare.
Also, since this is relevant:
Yeah it’s shockingly good! I’m only on episode four, but the main cast has been consistently great. Buggy and Usopp’s actors were really surprising too!
