As an adult, I don’t feel that I know enough to make an informed decision. Regardless: blue-tailed skink. There are definitely at least two cooler than it, but there are many of them where I live, and they’re my pals.
Ah, yeah. What’s funny is, at first I wanted to say “salamander”, because that’s probably what I would have answered as a kid. Turns out that’s an amphibian, too (and closely related to the axolotl).
Probably the coral snake. Beautiful little snakes, and venomous as fuck. Despite the potency of their venom, their bites are rarely deadly. They’re rear fanged, and don’t typically inject much venom if they bite a person. They have better things to do with that deadly fluid. They’re also relatively docile compared to most venomous snakes.
My first favorite reptile is the rubber boa. They’re so chill that you can find one in the forest, wrap it around your wrist, and it’ll stay there like a bracelet all day long. If it’s a tiny one then you can wear it like a thumb ring. They appreciate the warmth and are happy to just chill on your arm. When you’re done wearing snake jewelry, you just put them back where you found them, and they’ll go on with their little snake lives, having experienced something unbelievable, which they will likely remember with fondness forever.
What is your third favorite reptile?
George W Bush
Fool me once… Errrr
Not gonna get fooled again.
Everyone I know was like “how could there possibly ever be a worse, more humiliating American president?”
It strongly implies I still haven’t seen the worst American president of my life.

Axolotl
Aren’t Axolotls amphibians?
And even if they were, what two animals even come close to beating these magnificent critters
Well, I’ll give you a hint: At least one of them is actually a reptile.
I am not very smart. 🫠

That is actually really tricky. Because slow worm and tuatara really both deserve a podium spot.

Thunderworm
Is that related to the thunder horse?
