Here is what TechRadar said
The game is billed as a prequel to the modern Doom series, which includes 2016’s Doom and Doom Eternal. It will focus on the origins of the enigmatic Slayer and feature a never-before-seen medieval war against hell. Judging from everything shown in the trailer, it looks like a pretty radical departure from the more futuristic, sci-fi look other the other games.
Like the two previous installments, Doom: The Dark Ages is being developed by id Software and is powered by the idTech game engine.
A recent post from the official Doom X / Twitter account has also confirmed that the game will be available as part of an Xbox Game Pass subscription. It will be launching for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and, rather surprisingly, PlayStation 5.
Here are some other articles about it but I imagine most of the information is the same:

What do you think? Do you believe it will play similar to DOOM Eternal?
Honestly I’m kind of underwhelmed. I enjoyed eternal but really didn’t vibe with its story, and I think the introduction of cutscenes and mandatory lore-dumps was just a straight downgrade from 2016’s excellent storytelling. This feels like it’s doubling down on lore stuff and I really can’t bring myself to care about it.
The new gameplay stuff seems fine, but nothing I haven’t seen before, and nothing that seems significantly different than the previous game. Or at least, nothing that seems to add much value. Like yeah, there’s a parry now, and dragon flying sections, but why? Idk, maybe I’m just jaded.
Edit: also wanted to mention that I don’t believe Mick Gordon is involved anymore, and I can’t blame him. But I think his style added so much to the other games and it’s a shame how much he was mistreated.
God, yes. The lore stuff with Doom Guy being some kind of super special Master Chief type is all boring as shit. I just want the cutscenes to end so I can shoot more shit.
Or just do something actually interesting with the story instead of just having “deep lore.” 2016 had so many great ideas - a robot CEO that reluctantly needs to work with a guy who will not hesitate to destroy everything he’s built, an AI that has to instruct you on how to destroy it, etc… Its ideas were so fun and embedded well into the gameplay and objectives.
Honestly I liked it better when he was just some dude. It feels more impressive that way.
Yeah without the music from 2016, Eternal never gave me the same action feeling and so ultimately felt like a long game intro that ran for hours and then ended.
Main gameplay looks similar to Doom with a shield and melee weapons, plus a flying thing and a Kaiju/mech armor suit.
