Doesn’t this mean that the appointment of Special Counsel David Weiss was illegal too? Shouldn’t Hunter Biden’s conviction be expunged, based on Judge Cannon’s logic here?
She’s creating the opportunity to take it to SCOTUS where they will make the appointment of any future Special Counsel illegal. The intent is not to be consistent and it doesn’t have to make sense. Hell, it’s even better if it doesn’t make sense because this erodes the judiciary’s legitimacy; two birds, one stone.
