If you’ve got time to slip out of Rome and see Pompeii/Herculaneum, make Herculaneum your first stop. Less traffic and its way better preserved.

Also… damn, son. Have a great time. I visited Rome 10 years ago, and its still one of my most cherished memories. Stunning beauty, amazing food, very cool people.
