  • So to summarise Reddit’s top 5 comments:

    1. Patriot act.
    2. Underestimating Russia. Same commenter later on: “No, Russia can’t invade the US. Their military is weak. But they interfered in our elections and have helped divide our country with disinformation. They even had a puppet as our president who is still lying and dividing us and undermining our democracy. They have done more harm to our country with propaganda than they ever could with bullets.” LIB
    3. Didn’t legalise weed.
    4. “Not being a party-builder” LIB
    5. Didn’t convince RBG to retire.

These people certainly have their priorities right. There are people lower down mentioning drone strikes and other things, but a really telling top 5 in my opinion.

  • That reddit thread is full of people (hopefully not teachers) insisting that it’s actually a parent’s job to teach their children to read. Ignoring the ‘fuck poor or undereducated parents’ attitude on display, I have to ask, what’s the point of early education then? My first few years of school were all about literacy and numeracy skills. If these aren’t the responsibility of the education system at that age, then what on earth is? I guess it’s just daycare to these people…
