    I imagine that a lot of geeks and nerds have seen society’s shift from mockery and disdain to embracing their culture. And are upset that the world is able to comfortably enjoy their stuff without paying their dues. Or at least, that’s the perception of it.

    This is definitely the start of the “I’m a victim” pipeline of thought that white gamers radiate leading to everything else that spawns off bitter, isolated young men without the understanding to articulate their own personal struggles with society and capitalism.

    Hell even incel culture has that subculture of truly oppressed rejects vs those who are just going through a dry spell. It’s always about moving the goalposts to be the most oppressed because accepting they aren’t invalidates their personal difficulties in their eyes.
