Drop any recs you have for anglo comics in here and I’ll see if I want to check them out. Also I put this in chat because it’s not manga so I can’t put it in anime.

Read and liked, space/sci-fi oriented: Planetary, Fantastic Four by Jonathan Hickman, Annihilation, Annihilation Conquest

Haven’t read but heard they’re good: Gotham Central, Silver Surfer by Slott & Allred, Uncanny X-Force by Rick Remender

Mark Russell does some good political satire and Tom Taylor does good action/pacing/character work. I like Jim Starlin’s ‘psychedelic space fantasy’ style as well.

I eventually got around to reading “Y: The Last Man” after trying to watch the live action adaption on Hulu a year or two ago. It was a pretty good read that was surprisingly normal compared to the live action version.

I’ve been meaning to dig around the internet for “Iredeemable” and “Incorruptible” to see how those turned out. (Iredeemable - what if Superman says “fuck the world” and proceeds to wreck everything and its up to his former super friends and villians to figure out how to deal with him. Incorruptible - happens in the same world as Iredeemable, a former super villain sees the hell Superman is up to and decides to try to help the people around him however he can.)

Umbrella Academy, was a fairly fast read through from start to finish. Gave me the same vibes as reading Hellboy, BPRD stuff.
