that they think about that having happened. it’s cut off for comedic purposes, and probably further exaggerated (as in, they randomly remember about it from time to time, not literally think about it every day).

The cutoff after the comma suggests they’re about to embark on a long passionate rant, I think that’s the heart of the joke

So the general idea is “wow, the AUDACITY of this bitch” as if communicating via “memes” is a chore.

Humans have a way of thinking about awkward things that happened in the past over and over. I know I have a few.

oh sorry i’ll stick with referencing famous literary works and The Simpsons. Maybe the occasional foray into well known movies.

Very few. It wasnt doing it from within the browser.

It seems it spammed “open link in browser” from the in-app browser of my Lemmy app, which then kept opening my default browser app, and creating new tab after tab.

ads online are out of control these days-- you should probably look into better blocking and browser options. Try firefox for example

I do use Firefox. The tabs didn’t even succefully load due to ad-blocking.

This seemed to work by hijacking the “open in another app” feature on android. The ad first opened in the in-app browser of my Lemmy app, and from there it spammed new tabs into existence in the Firefox app, which kept opening, and kept opening new tabs.

Jesus Christ, I won’t be linking to them anymore.

I like using the site personally though, as I never get ads.
