Australia weighs in on a seminal Hexbear struggle session

Idk why we act like we invented this. It’s been a public conversation in many places for like 20 years. Cats are an invasive species. I’m going to guess that feral cats do more damage than pets, but idk the exact numbers.

Didn’t invent it, but did get so weirdly intense about it for a few days that it’s now permanently part of the site culture. I think there were a few other struggle sessions at the time and people were at each others throats about anything.

Plus, I think it gets used as a safe way to refer to early days struggle sessions. Some of the other topics could kick off drama just from being brought up, but nobody’s (probably) going to do that over outdoor cats.

We didn’t invent the conversation, but we did escalate it to the point of:

Keep your motherfucking hands off of my family members and I won’t have to break your femurs. lmao.

Keep your murder machine away from the local ecosystem.

The local ecosystem is fucking concrete and monoculture grass lawns. If you use your Karen entitlement to touch a member of my family then don’t be surprised with what happens next.

Not even a member of your species, let alone family. Science is real. Keep your ecodestructive pet Within your walls, it’s just a cute lil kitty. Outside of them, it’s a toxoplasmic homicide rat.
