Maybe the USA shouldn’t be threatening world war all the time
but muh empire!
I googled the Wilson Center but I couldn’t learn much. But it’s clearly a very clearly a garbage pro-US think tank and the article was written by its CEO - Mark A. Green.
That said, the assessment seems sound to me. It’s the first admission I’ve seen in the west that Russia and China really do have a deep strategic partnership.
That said, the assessment seems sound to me.
Are you doing a bit or are you a liberal? The article might as well been written by the fucking State Department. The CEO dipshit was also an ambassador.
I’m not doing a bit and I’m not a liberal. Being an adult with a functioning brain I’m capable of reading things and understanding whether they make sense as opposed to just having a knee jerk reaction based on who says it.
You shared something that might as well been written by the State Department without saying so. That seems to be a big mistake at Hexbear. Context is key.
I mean it’s pretty obvious who wrote it. There’s no conspiracy here. The very fact that it was effectively written by the state department is precisely what makes it interesting. Up to now, the US kept running the narrative the that Russia and China have some hidden rivalries and that they’re never going to actually have a solid partnership because of that. This is the first direct admission that it is in fact happening. And that is useful for understanding how the US will behave towards China going forward.
Asking yogthos if he’s a lib seems like a Hexbear bit
no kidding, the top of the page says ‘kissinger institute on china and the united states’
these kinds of think tank articles represent the dissemination of imperialist thought. that is worth understanding if not following
Literal US state propaganda.
From the site:
Throughout 2023, the Wilson Center’s scholarship-driven, nonpartisan analysis provided critical context to the world’s most pressing challenges. With a focus on Ukraine’s place in Europe, the Israel-Hamas war, and the state of democracy around the globe, Wilson Center staff, scholars, and its expansive community of multi-disciplinary experts responded to quickly moving world events to bring points of clarity.
(Emphasis mine in the quote. An especially egregious part of their bullshit)
Aka “We immediately went to work manufacturing bullshit narratives and talking points for our boys up top to repeat forever.”
Speaking of our boys up top, “Honorable” Antony Blinken is a big fan! (About as honorable as the dump I’m taking while reading this…)
I thought state propaganda was bad? Bloodyhands Blinken would say that, I bet. Odd. Incredibly odd!
Also their address is literally
Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center One Woodrow Wilson Plaza
Two of the absolute worst “humans” to ever walk this earth enshrined forever in a “center” used to justify baby murder forever. Honestly, I’m gonna say “appropriate choice.” Their legacies will be just as evil and blood soaked as their lives were. Sometimes I wonder if this is some sick dark humor by the underlings who help come up with names and shit or if they’re all oblivious to these things.
Every US based outlet is spewing propaganda, However, if you actually read the article, I think you’ll find that it’s fairly sober.
For sure. I had just never heard of the Wilson center and my first thought was “no way they named it after the president…?” and then it just got worse from there. Their framing of China as authoritarian is also honestly hilarious considering the current state of the US. And by hilarious I mean… well, probably shouldn’t continue on that
Oh yeah it’s an absolute riot. I find these think tanks often have interesting tid bits squirrelled away in the stuff they publish, but actually reading it is just painful. Somebody needs to train a language model to just extract useful information from western media and cut out the spin. 😂
Rand report overextending Russia is a classic
I love how they added a little note now how they were totally not encouraging starting a proxy war with Russia. 😂
“Just in case”?
